About REEdI
REEdI will transform the way we deliver undergraduate engineering education in Ireland. The project is a collaboration between the Munster Technological University and the University of Limerick.
Building on the success of world-leading cutting-edge models of engineering pedagogy, we combine an innovative method of curricula design, content delivery utilising new immersive technologies and student access to world class Science Foundation Ireland research center’s to deliver a transformative programme of self-directed and self-scheduled learning for the next generation of engineers. This affords a wealth of advantages in undergraduate engineering education provision. Our approach aims to be positively disruptive and transformative.
The REEdI consortium are experts in eLearning, smart manufacturing, industry 4.0, AI, Industrial-Internet of Things (iIoT), Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR), and best practise in engineering education innovation and reform. REEdI was co-developed with manufacturing industry leaders, national and international leaders in the field of Engineering Education, leaders in work-based placement models and world class research centers. The team have a wealth of experience in delivering multi partner industry/ HEI linked projects on time and within budget. MTU Kerry as the lead partner, has proven capability, and a strong track record with regards to repeat industry collaboration projects. Therefore, there are strong networks, relationships and communication channels in place to drive REEdI into the future.
