REEdI works closely with more than 40 trusted Industry Partners who support a wide range of activities, from content creation and guest lectures to site visits and student placements.

These partnerships play a key role in enriching the student experience, especially through the introduction of paid work placements for third-year students.

In collaboration with our partners, we’ve also developed a suite of micro-credentials and lifelong learning courses.

Over the course of the semester, students have gained valuable industry insight through site visits, helping them explore the diverse opportunities available in engineering after graduation.

Site Visits

2nd year REEdI Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering students got a unique chance to visit the new Astellas site in Tralee. The visit gave them a firsthand look at modern pharmaceutical manufacturing and offered a real-world perspective on how engineering skills are applied in industry. The students also visited Irish Distillers’ world-class production facility in Midleton, where they saw the Process Engineering module come to life and gained valuable insights into other areas of the REEdI programme.

Industry Exhibition at REEdI Engineering Symposium

The REEdI Engineering Symposium brought students and industry partners together in a showcase of innovation and collaboration. At the industry exhibition, companies highlighted their work and connected with emerging engineering talent, while second-year students had the opportunity to present their projects to industry members, with a view to securing placements for their final two years of the REEdI programme.
