The Blocks4Change project booklet was officially launched at the Connect with MTU event. This project is part of the STEAM Powered Action for Sustainable Futures initiative, in collaboration with IKC3 and Munster Technological University, and funded by Research Ireland. The booklet showcases the outcomes of a year-long programme focused on sustainability, creativity, and community engagement.

The booklet draws on findings from the public consultation and workshops carried out across Kerry. Over 1,000 members of the public were engaged during the consultation phase, resulting in approximately 600 participants whose views helped shape the project’s direction and priorities. This consultation ensured that the work was grounded in community perspectives and reflected locally relevant sustainability challenges, along with gathering their level of knowledge and interest in STEAM and sustainability..

The project also delivered a series of targeted workshops with community groups and not-for-profit organisations. These sessions, including interactive LEGO® Serious Play® workshops, focused on exploring themes such as climate action, sustainable communities, and the role of STEAM in addressing real-world challenges. The outputs from these workshops contributed to the development of practical ideas and approaches captured in the booklet.
