At REEdI, we’re proud to support such a motivated and capable group of students who continue to impress us with their curiosity, resilience, and drive. Whether it’s through academic excellence, hands-on projects, or real-world problem solving, our students consistently rise to the challenge and demonstrate the qualities of future innovators and leaders.

Gold EDGE Awards

Three Year 2 students from the Engineering programme at REEdI were awarded the prestigious Gold EDGE Award through the university’s graduate development framework. Congratulations to Liam Tangney, Christian Karamagi and Jia Chyen Queek on this outstanding achievement. The EDGE programme recognises students’ engagement in extra- and co-curricular activities that build essential personal and professional skills. Earning the Gold award reflects their dedication, initiative and commitment to going beyond academic requirements.

Engineering Challenge 2

Our first-year students exceeded expectations with their innovative group designs and impressive robotic machines. As part of a recent challenge, many teams successfully engineered solutions capable of pulling a 1kg chain up a 6-inch pipe. The creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving on display highlighted the strong foundation these students are building in their engineering journey.

Student Engagement Associate (SEA) Awards

Congratulations to REEdI student engineers Caren Karamagi and Christian Karamagi on being awarded the Student Engagement Associate (SEA) Award. This award recognises students who actively contribute to enhancing the student experience and promoting a more inclusive, connected campus community. Caren and Christian’s achievement is a testament to their leadership, initiative, and commitment to student engagement at MTU.
