Niall Fitzgerald

Niall Fitzgerald is an Engineering Fellow working on the REEdI project at Munster Technological University.

He holds Bachelor of Technology in Electronic Engineering from Waterford Insititute of Technology (2001) and a Masters of Engineering Science from University College Cork (2009).

Niall has over 15 years’ experience working in research and development across the Automotive, LED lighting and Dairy equipment industries. He has also worked on a European Joint Research Commission (JRC) project with University College Cork.

He has worked as an Electronic Engineer with responsibilities for both software and hardware development. Most recently he was the electronic engineering supervisor, with responsibilities for a team of electronic engineers, working on the development of high voltage automotive electronics for a global EV manufacturer.

Outside work Niall enjoys Kitesurfing, surfing and organic market gardening.
